A little different from our usual coastal builds, this project marked two firsts for HAMR Home — our first apartment renovation and our first project in Auckland.
Located within the Heritage complex in the heart of Auckland CBD, this 51m² apartment was ready for a serious refresh. The original interior felt dark and dated, with bright red carpet and tired finishes making the space feel smaller and more enclosed than it really was.
The renovation completely transformed the apartment into a light, stylish and practical city space. It included a custom kitchen and vanity featuring Neve Trendstone Quartz, new Fisher & Paykel appliances, updated flooring, fixtures and finishes, and a carefully planned layout that allows the apartment to comfortably sleep up to six.
Working within an existing inner-city apartment presented a very different set of challenges from a new home build, making clever use of space and careful planning especially important. The result is a compact but highly functional apartment that feels fresh, comfortable and refined.
For HAMR Home, it was a great opportunity to bring our attention to detail and quality craftsmanship into a completely different setting — several floors up, right in the middle of Auckland.
